Snow Storms can be Good

Just makes me shiver!  This wild duck had adopted our neighbor's pond as home.  Winter, summer she was always there.  I took this picture on a cold snowy day.  We had been socked in with the cold.  The duck is actually walking across our neighbor's pond.  I like the fortitude this duck shows!  I've never been a fan of winter, but the world during a snow storm does take on a quiet feel that can soothe the soul. That's how this next picture makes me feel.  All is quiet with the world as the snow silently falls and covers the world in a fresh clean blanket.
